A growing store accumulates clutter. More products, campaigns, apps, meetings, and exceptions can feel like progress. The business becomes harder to see and harder to operate.
The 80/20 review asks a blunt question: which small set of inputs is responsible for most of the useful output?
Run the analysis across the whole business
- Products by contribution profit and service burden
- Suppliers by sales, margin, reliability, and support
- Campaigns by qualified demand and profit
- Content by assisted conversions and useful traffic
- Team activities by decisions enabled or time saved
Protect the winners
Make sure the important products stay accurate, in stock, well advertised, and easy to buy. Strengthen the relationship with the best suppliers. Document the processes that keep profitable campaigns healthy.
Delete, pause, or quarantine the rest
Not every weak item deserves permanent deletion. Some need a better page or a cleaner test. Move them out of the primary operating view until the hypothesis is clear. The objective is focus, not indiscriminate cutting.
